An elopement is often a couple running off to get married without any family or friends knowing! Just the couple and an officiant, maybe a photographer. A micro wedding has some more typical wedding traditions, is usually 2-3 hours, and includes up to 30 people. If uber small and simple is what you are going for, an elopement is perfect. If you want a small wedding with more flair check out our Tiny Weddings.
You and your guests (if you are having any) will meet at the venue at your scheduled time. We will get everyone together and go right into the ceremony. After the ceremony we will pop the bubbly and toast you newlyweds! Feel free to toast or just drink up. Your Elopement will conclude with a photo session and then we send you on your married way.
It's easy in Washington State to get a marriage license. You can get your marriage license in any county, regardless of where the ceremony will take place. Find your most convenient county here. You can apply in person or through the mail. Allow for at least 4 days if applying in person and 3 weeks if applying by mail. You will need 2 witnesses over the age of 18 to sign the license the day of the wedding. Our team will happily bear witness to your marriage if you are having a two person Elopement.
Of course! You can add up to 10 more guests for an additional $50 per guest. We limit to 22 people total to keep it in the spirit of an elopement.
Hit that Grab Your Spot button above and select the time you want. You'll agree to our terms and conditions and pay right online. From there we will send you a form for a few additional pieces of information. Then you're all set. We'll confirm all of the details with you 2 weeks out from your elopement date. Of course if you have any questions you can reach out to us at hello@seattletinywedding.com.
Whatever you want. A lot of our couples keep the party going and head to a brunch/lunch or dinner at a local restaurant. We are happy to offer suggestions on post-wedding plans. Just email hello@seattletinywedding.com.
All of our weddings comply with state and federal guidelines. Safety is our priority. You can read more about our COVID-19 policies and procedures here.
For this Elopement we are playing up the natural waterfront colors coming off Lake Washington. Shades of blue and touches of lavender throughout. You can expect an elaborate backdrop on the deck of the Baker Boathouse that really highlights the beautiful outdoor setting. The same colors will fill up your bouquet or boutonnière.
